The Gardo House (Amelia's Palace)/Eagle Gate Plaza

"Gardo House or "Amelia Palace". Salt Lake City." S&J Photo.

The Gardo House (also known as Amelia's Palace) was constructed in 1873 for Amelia Folsom, purportedly Brigham Young's favorite wife. It was demolished in 1921 to make way for the Federal Reserve Bank, since replaced by the Eagle Gate Plaza building.
